Last week I told you that Dacia could be working on the new Logan version and probably a hatchback, too. Today I’ve just heard that they are releasing the Logan Pick-up, which is supposed to be on sale from March.

Some of the analysts are also speculating on the fact that it may be present in Geneva, at the International Auto Show.

The biggest trumps of the new Logan Pick-up are the prices and the huge space it offers. 1.74, wide, 1.55m tall and 4.5m long it has a luggage compartment of 300 liters (yes that’s big) and can carry 1.80m long objects. Read more »

More details are popping out about the new Volkswagen Scirocco - the lightweight sport car - that we will get to see during the International Motor Show in Geneva.

It uses a 1.4-liter TSI engine that develops 122 hp while there is a TDI version, too, works on a seven-speed DSG transmission automatic and semi-automatic. ESP is a standard on VW Scirocco.

About the interior there are not many details other than some “body-hugging sport seats” or a panoramic roof to watch the sky. We’ll know more next month. Read more »

Despite Volvo’s intentions to unveil the first pictures and details of the very crucial XC60 on February 20 (see here), an image gallery of all-new Swedish compact SUV/Crossover was leaked into the net today.

We don’t have any technical details in our hands, but the images reveal that Volvo remained loyal to the XC60 Concept that was first seen at the 2007 Detroit Motor Show.

Set to go on sale during the second half of the year, the new XC60 will compete against the BMW X3 and forthcoming Mercedes GLK and Audi Q5 SUV/Crossovers. Read more »

As promised, Rolls Royce is enhancing its vehicle line-up with the production version of the 2006 101EX Concept. The Coupe completes the Phantom family, which consists of the Phantom sedan, Phantom Extended Wheelbase and Phantom Drophead Coupé (cabriolet).

Rolls Royce supports that the new coupe most driver-orientated model in the Phantom line thanks to the retuned suspension and steering settings, but don’t except any wonders; don’t forget we’re talking about a car that measures in at 5609 mm / 220.8 inches in length and weighs 2590 kg / 5710 lb…

Like its sedan and cabriolet siblings, the Coupe is powered by a 6.75-litre V12 that produces 453 bhp and 720 Nm / 531 lbs-ft of torque. Read more »

If there’s one thing we can say about Rinspeed, it’s that this company has a vivid imagination when it comes to creating concepts.

Their latest product is a submersible prototype based on the Lotus Elise and it will make its first appearance at the forthcoming Geneva Motor Show.

The sQuba can perform a… stabile underwater flight at a depth of up to 10 meters or approx 33 feet. The concept is powered by several electric motors. Read more »
