PROTON Satria Neo R3

Proton R3 Satria

PROTON just announced that they are upgrading their Satria R3 model released in 2004 (only 150 units) and the new street-legal Satria Neo R3 is going to be available. The specs are pretty good.

It uses a normally aspired 1.6-liter engine with power hiking to 100kW/ 135 bhp and torque at 164 Nm while the main focus is on dynamic handling to offer a “controlled yet exciting driving experience”.

The new PROTON Satria Neo R3 is coming in Incognito Black, with 17-inch tires, has a lowered suspension and a better braking system, Recaro seats and a MOMO steering wheel. Isn’t that enough for the €15,000 price ?

Too bad they will only build 50 units right now. They will probably add more in the next months because I would definitely buy one for that price and looks.

hi there. My name is peter.I live in south africa and i bought a satria neo brand new.i have had this car for just over 1 year and all its given me was problems from day 1. for example oil leak, breaks failed, back window not working, rattle in the dashboard, door rubbers unsticking, windscreen wipers not working properly, my key that that battery has been replaced 10 times and the alarm has been reprogramed at least 5 times and now the central locking does not work with very very very poor service from the agents. the window to get sorted out took them 1 year to do. with the breaks there was also a grinding metal to metal sound i sent it in and only got my car 3 weeks later and i drove it for 5 km and that sound came back and even now nothing is getting done…… so yes this is a very very bad car. i have put this here so you can see what problems i have and hoping someone can help me because the guys in south africa do nothing to help but they are fast to take your money.
