General Motors could ultimately compose Hummer parts and assemblies for another partial carmaker as part of a sell-off deal, the czar Bob Lutz product GM said the Auto Show of London.

“How it will work again with the plants must be accompanied,” Lutz said.

It could be similar to the way Honda has quarrel his case for cooperation with Rover after that BMW has bought the British company in 1992. Honda has continued to provide the chassis, body parts and powertrain the BMW-owned company for several years after the case.

Lutz does not commenter it over whether GM has sparked any interest in the Hummer brand.

In the meantime, he also discussed the current fuel crisis and said it is worse than those who have switched the automotive industry in 1974 and 1979.

“We have a clash of fuel covered on a really weak economic situation with the sub prime crisis and the feeling of many poorer people now,” Lutz said.
